prof. dr hab. inż. arch. Aleksander Noworól
Professor of economics, D.Sc. Ph.D. in urbanism and architecture. His specialization is the management of territorial development. Work experience and graduate courses in France, Switzerland, Japan, Great Britain, the US, Israel, and Spain.
During years 1978-1998 – work with the Cracow University of Technology. Managing Director of the Strategy and
Development Department of the Cracow City Hall from 1994 till 1998. During 2001-2018 – adjunct and associate professor with the Jagiellonian University. Currently, a full professor with the Cracow University of Economics (earlier, since 2012 – visiting professor of CUE).
Besides scientific activities – professional experiences in urban and architectural design, managerial roles in public administration as well as in real estate development businesses. He conducts economic activity in own consulting company in the domain of economic and spatial development. Author of 4 and coauthor of 6 books on regional governance. He did researches in various fields of study, incl.: urban regeneration, management of regional/local
development, urban policy.
Author and editor of more than 100 papers and more than 100 consulting studies or expert’s reports. Currently the Member of the Main Commission of Urban Planning and Architecture by the Minister of Investment and Development.
