The aim of the project will be to analyze the regional dimension of the migration transition that has taken place in the Małopolska (Lesser Poland ) Voivodeship in the last decade and the various dimensions of the presence of immigrants in Małopolska. Until recently, Poland and the Małopolska Voivodeship had a negative migration balance. Definitely more people left Poland and the Małopolska region than arrived there. In the last decade, this situation began to change quickly and radically, and Małopolska began to move from a typical emigration area to the role of an important center receiving immigrants not only from Ukraine, but also from other European countries and beyond our continent. The aim of the project will be a detailed analysis of the migration transition in Małopolska and the situation of immigrants in the region. Based on diverse register data and quantitative and qualitative research of the project team, a detailed picture of immigrants in the region will be drawn.
