Political economy of budget processes in Poland – structural, institutional and relational aspects

The research goal of the project is to characterize changes in fiscal policy in Poland in the 21st century from the perspective of the evolution of economic, institutional and political conditions. The project focuses on analyzing the dynamics of the economic context in which Poland operates, related to simultaneous changes in the global economy (evolution of globalization and financialization) and in the ideological positions of internationally important epistemic communities.  The analysis also highlights institutional changes related to the dynamics of Poland’s membership in the EU and the dynamics of internal politics conditioned by the perceived reconfiguration of the dominant class coalition, determining changes in the relationships of key partners in the budget process on the one hand and fiscal results on the other.
