The aim of the project was a multi-aspect diagnosis of the phenomenon of socio-economic development, both at the theoretical level and using empirical analysis. The theoretical part allowed for the identification of important development categories, such as entrepreneurship and innovation, and enabled their redefinition in the context of the most current changes. The empirical part included analyses of the development process in specific conditions: protected areas, rural development and the issue of urban shrinkage.
