The contemporary crisis of the university idea and ethos is the result of the overlap of many social, political, economic and cultural factors. Showing the interconnection of these factors is crucial in order to search for ways to overcome this impasse. At the same time, it is necessary to describe the university phenomenon itself and the forms its crisis takes as precisely as possible. The implementation of this intention will require a rich reflection on the university and asking questions about its mission in the modern world.
