The project was aimed at a multi-faceted study of the Alien issue. The contact of an individual and a community with the Other (Alien/Stranger) or a community of Others (Aliens) is a very sensitive contact that reveals many of the hidden assumptions and structures of subjectivity and community. The modern world is impossible to imagine without constant encounters with the Alien and constant questions about the essence and form of the relationship with the Alien.

The proposed approaches included philosophical (Mizdrak, Kot, Kusak), political (Filek, Guczalska) and those located on the border between philosophy and economics (Kwarciński). There were also references to fiction (Augustyniak, Kot). It is worth adding that the research results include 2 monographs and 6 publications in journals.
